About C-VILLE Gives
C-VILLE Gives is a community-wide giving initiative from C-VILLE Weekly that brings local nonprofits together in one place and makes giving to them easy—and fun.
C-VILLE Gives launches November 4 and ends December 15.
C-VILLE has spent decades telling the stories of the organizations and people doing good work here; this is a way to help readers support that work directly.
We’ve invited local nonprofits across a range of focus areas: Animals, Civil & Human Rights, Community, Creative Expression, Education, Environment, Health, Home, Human Services, and Hunger. See the full list of participants on our Nonprofits page.

We (and they) would love it if you would! You can give to as many participating nonprofits as you’d like.
Yes! All organizations participating in C-VILLE Gives are 501(c)(3) nonprofits or are fiscally sponsored by a 501(c)(3) organization. You’ll receive a transaction confirmation after making your gift, and the nonprofit you supported will provide the documentation you need for your records. Your charitable contribution may be tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. As always, check with your tax professional about your individual circumstances.
Definitely. The nonprofit you donate to will send a receipt after you make a donation.
Yes! Each of these nonprofits accept gifts from donor-advised funds (DAFs) as well as Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs) from IRAs.
DAF and QCD gifts can take several days to process, so we recommend making your request early.
For nonprofits
For our inaugural C-VILLE Gives campaign, we invited local nonprofits that C-VILLE has worked with or supported through community partnerships in the past. Starting in 2027, we’ll open an application process so more area organizations have the opportunity to participate.
Interested in joining us next year? Email anna@c-ville.com to be the first to know when applications open.
Yes. Each participating nonprofit pays an entry fee based on its 2025 annual revenue, so smaller organizations pay less than larger ones. These fees help cover the costs of producing and promoting C-VILLE Gives, including the campaign website, marketing, and print and digital exposure. If a nonprofit raises less through C-VILLE Gives than it paid to participate, C-VILLE will make up the difference in advertising credit to ensure every participating organization receives at least the value of its entry fee.
We’ve designed C-VILLE Gives to put your organization—and your mission—in front of more people. Participating nonprofits receive a dedicated profile on the C-VILLE Gives website, plus exposure throughout the campaign across C-VILLE’s print, digital, email, and social channels.
You’ll also receive tools to help you promote your participation to your own supporters and opportunities to benefit from Super Give Days, prizes, and other campaign-wide promotions designed to encourage giving.
Most importantly, you’ll be part of a community-wide campaign that brings local nonprofits together and introduces C-VILLE readers to the organizations doing important work in our community.
